3D Shapes

On Wednesday we made 3D shapes  using nets. I chose to make a triangular prism and a cube. I turned the triangular prism into the Illuminati. The cube was the hardest to make because I had to hold one thing whilst holding another.

Poem

Stars

Lighting up the sky

Dazzling like diamonds up high

Shining down on us.

I also did one about sheep and ice. the we could only use 5 and 7 syllables.

Assembly

On Friday we performed our assembly I had a part  in assembly where I was rude to Lucy. after we did a dance I was in the front row the song was called individuality. I had so much fun

Marae visit

On Wednesday all of  g.s.s went to Unitec marae.   We learnt about Maori legends. After we ate yum scones had warm  milos. then after the trip we performed the haka. Whai Jess said the haka was really good.

Mary Mackillop statue

Last week we had the Feast of St Mary MacKillop. We did an activity with Room 4. We made little Mary Mackillop statues that stood up by themselves. Me and Justin paired up with Ronan a junior. We made a poster that went up on the walls in Room 4, it was really fun. We sat in the bean bag area and at the end we all read a book together.

Pūmanawa

For Pūmanawa I chose cartooning with Mrs Drummond. She asked us to choose two animals. I chose a rhino and a lion. I did the head of a lion with the horn of a rhino. Mr Drummond, Mrs Drummond's husband, came and he said it was awesome.

Ice experiment

Today we did a ice experiment. Where we put three or four ice balls in a bowl then we put two different colours of dye on the top that slowly melted. It but then we put salt on top and it turned into salt water, then froze then we walked out and smashed them some did not smash.

Anzac drawing

This week we did Anzac art and I chose this to colour in it's a solder with a medic on a donkey on a coin with a crown. It took about four days for me to finish this cool drawing.

Egg Sitting

Term two week nine we did egg siting and our egg was like a baby. We had too take care of them I called mine Eggbert Einstein, and I made him a little maths book and his house was a little plastic container with a tissue pillow a tissue mattress a tissue blanket and he survived the week and longer...

Maori drawing

On Monday first of June we started doing Peter Gossage style art so I drew Maui and the magic jawbone and i'm proud of myself. After we sketched the body we coloured it in with pastel then we dyed the background

Wig wednesday

today is Wig Wednesday it's where you get to wear a wig and you needed to donate a coin to wear one I was wearing a Elsa wig and some one wore a rainbow Mohawk.

Book week

this week we did book week and we got to

Cross country

on the 6 of june we did cross country I came about 10 and Xavier p came 7 after we had a group photo then I went to my cousins house and I really enjoyed cross country.

Water filter!

on Friday some one from water care came to g.s.s to tech us about water we played a fun game where we went from the sea to a water tap it was really fun. at the end we chose a buddy I chose Vincent as my partner and then we chose cotton balls and the water turned clear.

Maori

Today we did Maori. We had to find out on Maori dictionary which photo belonged to each Maori word.I finished mine and got them all right.

Anzac day brochure

 

Po'oi and I made a brochure about a badge that mothers who had let their sons fight in the army wore.

It was silver and on it said Mothers of Empire. Mothers wore this badge with pride. We got to choose an item. I chose the Mothers of Empire badge.

Opera

on Thursday NZ opera came and performed for us it was a love story, there was a count and a girl a barber a lawyer a evil step mum and a police officer who was my teacher. my favourite part was when the count bashed his head on a door. 

Animal Poster

I made a animal poster about a jaguar. Did you know that jaguars jaws are so powerful they can bite through a skull? Did you know that jaguars are the third biggest cat in the world? Every reading group had to choose and research their animal by using books and the internet. It was really fun.

Poem.

On Monday I finished my poem it's about a black plastic spider and it's only words that describe the spider, and when everyone has finished the poems are going to another school in New Zealand, it was really fun.

Ash Wednesday

On Ash Wednesday we went to church in the morning and got the cross on our heads. It was really cool everyone said that mine was the best.

Shove Tuesday

today we made pancakes with the juniors for shove Tuesday and we burnt palm leaves so for tomorrow they can put the cross on us and for the time of lent.

Sun smart posters.

we made sun smart posters about skin cancer and sun burns and why we should stop spraying sunscreen every where other wise it'll break the ozone layer.

Swimming sports.

on Wednesday we went to west wave to do our school swimming sports I did none competitive and came 2,3,24, but I had fun and that was the point my cousin Xavier Prentice came 1st in all his races.   

Escape from kraznir

             the school is doing this big story about a fantasy world and you have to save slinsil a little town from destruction and my character is a shapeshifter and his weakness is no energy.

First week back

last week we went swimming in the pool and we made a puzzle piece about ourselves and we did mental maths. and some other stuff

Camp

on the first day of camp my second activity was abseiling I was the first one in my group to go down it was really scary but I did it it was actually kind of fun.
